| Goals |

  • The goal of the Bat Mitzvah Club is to unite 11-13-year-old girls from across the Plano/Frisco areas to discover what it means to become a Bat Mitzvah though crafts, scrapbooking, music, discussions and more.
  • We aim to give our girls a space to make close, safe, and meaningful connections with peers in the same situation as them. We want our girls to know that are not alone in their beliefs even though they are one of the only Jewish students in their class.
  • We aim to empower girls to own their Judaism and make it apart of their lives through learning and positive Jewish experiences.

| 8 Monthly Sessions | October– May |

| Session Information |

  • 1 hour and 45 minutes monthly
  •  Each session will include interactive learning, scrapbooking of our learning, an activity or craft connected to the learning, occasional guest speaker on relevant topics, refreshments, music, occasional volunteer opportunities and more.
  • Lessons this year will cover what it means to be a Bat Mitzvah and various Mitzvot that pertain to us as Jewish women and beyond!

| Bat Mitzvah Club Shabbaton |

  • We will be joining Bat Mitzvah Clubs from around Texas for an overnight Shabbaton in Austin - Date to be determined.   This will be a chance to meet and interact with other Jewish girls from across the state for a beautiful and uplifting Shabbat experience followed by a late-night group trip.

 | Optional Outside Activities |

  • Parents will be arranging outside group activities for the girls to meet up for further bonding and fun. These activities may include pottery painting, zip lining, and the like.
  • We will also be arranging community service volunteer opportunities for girls that would like to get involved in the community and create a positive impact in a tangible way. These may include volunteering at the Community Chanukah Event, visiting the sick or elderly, baking and delivering challah, creating care packages or mishloach manot for those in need and the like.
  • We will be hosting a Bat Mitzvah Club Friday night dinner for families later in the year. The exact date is to be determined. Girls will assist with the challah baking and décor for the dinner.

| Cumulative Bnot Mitzvah |

  • Sunday morning brunch with mothers and daughters to conclude the sessions and share what we’ve learned.

| Pricing |

  • 2017-18 $200/Year – to cover costs of art supplies, scrapbooking binders, curriculum, refreshments ect. Not including outside optional activities and Shabbaton.
